The Rangers 2-year Kinship Anniversary

chicks Being founded on the 17th of July 2008, kinship the Rangers has celebrated its 2-year kinship anniversary last Saturday, the 17th of July 2010. It was a nice mayhem with some chit-chat RP and a fireworks show at the Rangers Kinhall, followed by a game of freeze-tag at the Breeland festival fields. The night was ended with a mad cluck-cluck chicken run from Ted Sandson's Farm in MichelDelving to Bree.

Looking back, the kin can be proud of 2 glorious years, with always an active memberbase (ofcourse players come and go, but there is also a group of good ol' diehards), changing amounts, but always some roleplay going around; The most prominent development in the past year is the profile of a stable kinship, mixing some RP with lots of endgame activity - together with our friends and allies in the Horn & Banner Alliance.

First Real Life kinmeet a success

faviconOn Saturday, the 29th of May 2010, we had our first real life kinmeet in Amsterdam. It was a fun day, lasting from 14-24 hrs pm. It was good to put faces to the voices we hear so often in Ventrilo voice chat, especially since most members have been playing together for many months, some years even.

Since the 10 Rangers members who participated in the meet were quite enthusiatistic about the meeting, there is no doubt that we will have another meet in the future.

The Rangers are celebrating their 2-year existance asa kinship in June 2010.

2-3 Recruitment spots available

intropic4After 2 months of recruitment stop, the Council of Rangers has released a few players from active duty, freeing up room for 4-5 new members.
Are you an active LOTRO player, playing on Laurelin, and are you interested in a mix of roleplaying and (endgame) questing in an active and friendly kin?
We are particularly looking for a few players with special interest in roleplaying and a few players with special interest in questing/raiding. We are trying to offer a mix between RP and instancing in our kinship, so new members should be interested in both aspects of the game.

You can apply at our recruitment page.

Caraorn installed as Officer

kinmeetmini1The Council of Rangers is pleased to announce that Guardian Caraorn was installed recently as a member of the Council of Rangers. Caraorn will be an officer with the specific task to promote instancing and raiding within the kinship.

At this moment, kinship leadership is still entrusted to Vingi, with Liorae being the successor. The officer task team dealing with questing and raiding consists of: Garthalion, Bonkil and Caraorn, while Vingilotz, Liorae and Morielen will be part of the officer RP task force within the kinship. This way we ensure a balanced mix of RP and instancing within the kinship.

To promote roleplay, an RP-core team will be gathering soon, consisting of 3 officers and several members of The Rangers who have had a great interest in roleplaying in the past. The goal of this RP core team is to organize RP events and to increase roleplaying opportunities in the kinship.

Old Skool Raids in January 2010

introhelegrod3
The Rangers and the Last Banner are proud to announce that we will venture to Thorogs Halls once more. In honour of our tradition to keep the old-skool raids alive for new members and alts, we will venture to Helegrod once more, on Friday January 15th from 7.45 pm (UK time) onwards. On-level characters and first time Helegrod raiders will have priority. Please sign up via our Event Agenda.

During this same month we will plan a trip to the Rift of Nûrz Ghâshu as well, to face the only living Balrog this game knows. Furthermore, prepare to see some full Carn Dum/Urugarth runs appearing on the agenda, since many alts are in the lvl 40-50 range. So keep an eye on our event planner and get yourself a spot!
