Rangers Ventrilo Server
In an ongoing effort to develop questing and raiding within The Rangers, we are proud to announce the launch of our Ventrilo Voice Server for improved ingame voice communication during questing and raiding. You can see the server status on the front page of our website, down on the left. Many thanks to Officer Garthalion for donating a year Ventrilo use for our Kinship.
The Ventrilo server is available for Rangers Members; but we will allow raiding allies to use it during instance runs and raids. Click "read more" for the details.
Ventrilo is a high quality Voice-over-Internet protocol to use in LOTRO for ingame voice communication. The built-in voice communication of LOTRO is a low quality one, which puts a burden on your processor. With Ventrilo, one connects to a Vent server, which allows high quality voice chat for raiding and plain chatting, without a heavy processor load.
To use Ventrilo, you have to download the Ventrilo client and install it on your computer. The login details for the Ventrilo server for Allies can be found in the forum in the [The Rangers] Activities subforum; for Rangers members, the details are displayed in a sticky topic in the [The Rangers] Kinship Discussion subforum. You need to have a valid forum login and the right permissions to view these details.
